Various Highlights

• Update #1: Uploading pictures to the blog is not working again :( Frustrating. But, I put pictures of his 6-month birthday party on facebook: Facebook Pictures
• Jovan was 6 months old yesterday! We had a party for him with all the local kids. We served soup and cookies and everyone had a great time. We ended up with 21 kids and 13 adults! Jovan had a GREAT time, even skipping his nap! Bon Fet Jovan!
  
• Lorette is a little girl who lives just up the mountain from Hugues. A few weeks ago she told her mother that she wished Hugues was her Papa because he plays with her and loves her her Daddy doesn't. On Friday, Lorette asked Hugues if she could call him Papa. I guess Hugues is Papa to two now! :) Lorette is very sweet, quiet and observant. Yesterday she started saying "Please" all the time. Hugues asked her why and she said she didn't know what "Please" meant but that she heard us say it all the time! I guess that is a good word for her to pick up!
• Muttin Bustin-here by popular request. Jovan was not thrilled. The picture that is on facebook is the one where he is crying the least.
• Random things Jovan has learned on this trip so far: waving "hi" and "bye bye", making indian noises by himself, sucking his thumb constantly, mastering crawling and escaping the blankets, that baths in a laundry tub aren't so bad after all because you can splash Daddy, and that the bumpy mountain roads in Haiti are HILARIOUS! All in all, Jovan loves Haiti.
• Hugues's computer started working again randomly today. Go figure.

It is a rainy day here so we are staying home relaxing, not braving the mud-ridden roads yet for fear of sliding down them. :) Hope you all are having a great weekend as well!
